What do you think about Quilter Cub Aviator in Comparison to the Boss Katana? I am trying to decide between the two and I am a beginner but want to buy good quality gear in the beginning. I play mostly classic rock like Kansas, Aerosmith, Heart, Led Zeppelin etc.

Hey Marty, thanks for all the amazing videos! Questions are on point and the conversational vibe is a joy to watch, thanks to you! Could you tell me what amp Marcus plays through here? His tone is so snappy, which of course comes from his fingers and incredible vintage axe, but I wonder if the amp is adding to that bright and shiny tone.

So I loved Pokémon as a kid it was one of the only things me and my abusive father bonded over when I was little specifically the seasons with Misty professor Oak and Brock and I started crying when I heard this LOL

For anyone still confused about the rhythm of the intro riff: if you count it as 16th notes, the riff comes in on the downbeat, but then every chord change after that happens on the 16th note _before_ a downbeat (or on the "a" if you use the "1-e-and-a" counting method). The last chord is picked for 1 extra 16th note so that you land back on the downbeat when the riff starts over.

Great video, however the hardest part which is not shown here is strumming. John does not play single notes but his right hand strums down and up and he hits the right notes muting the unwanted ones at the same time. This is quite though to accomplish 😄

I cant get close to his sound. Hard to emulate. And the videos like this one and the guitat moves video dont help much. He never explains diddly.... which kinda maintains that mystery and makes it fun
